Day 1 – Arrival & Ride to Rafina

Distance: 15 miles | Elevation Gain: 600ft
Upon arrival at Athens International Airport, you will be welcomed and provided with your bike. Your journey begins with a short yet scenic ride to Rafina, a charming coastal town on the outskirts of Athens. This easygoing ride offers a perfect warm-up before you set out for the island adventure ahead.

Day 2 – Rafina to Eretria

Distance: 41 miles | Elevation Gain: 2700ft
Begin the day cycling towards Oropos, where you will board a short 20-minute ferry to the picturesque island of Evia. Your destination for the night is Eretria, a vibrant seaside town rich in history and known for its archaeological significance. Enjoy breathtaking sea views and smooth coastal roads throughout the day.

Day 3 – Eretria to Steni

Distance: 33 miles | Elevation Gain: 3979ft
Explore the island’s untouched landscapes as you cycle through peaceful countryside roads leading to the charming village of Steni, nestled at the foot of Mount Dirfis. Expect stunning mountainous scenery and a serene cycling experience as you ascend into one of Evia’s most picturesque regions.

Day 4 – Steni to Chalkis

Distance: 33 miles | Elevation Gain: 1933ft
Enjoy another tranquil ride through central Evia, passing the beautiful waterfalls of Agia Kyriakh. The route gradually leads you down to Chalkis, the island’s capital, known for its unique tidal phenomenon and vibrant waterfront promenade.

Day 5 – Chalkis to Mount Parnitha

Distance: 45 miles | Elevation Gain: 5889ft
Prepare for one of the tour’s most rewarding climbs as you ascend Mount Parnitha, the highest peak in the Athens region at 1300m. The climb is steady, with gradients of 4-6%, allowing you to enjoy the surrounding forests and breathtaking views. Spend the night at the rustic Bafi Mountain Refuge, where you can relax and take in the serene mountain atmosphere.

Day 6 – Parnitha to Rafina

Distance: 39 miles | Elevation Gain: 1400ft
The final ride takes you through the rolling hills north of Athens, passing through the legendary town of Marathon, the birthplace of the modern marathon race. Continue towards Rafina, where you’ll complete your cycling adventure with stunning coastal views.

Day 7 – Transfer to Athens Airport

After an unforgettable week of cycling, you’ll be transferred to Athens International Airport for your departure, carrying memories of an incredible journey through Greece’s diverse landscapes.

  • Difficulty: The tour is a medium to high challenging tour designed for people who are experienced cyclists comfortable with cycling 6 hours a day with some challenging  hills

  • Flight info: You Will have to fly to Athens international airport and aim to arrive in the morning of Day 1 one day prior to the tour start and to leave no earlier than 14;00 on the final day.

  • Hotels in Athens before and after the tour are not included
